Distribution and Habitat
It is distributed from Sakhalin to south on Tsushima and Jeju Island. It is a common summer migratory bird that inhabits inland areas, including the south and west coasts, and adjacent to the southwest coast, with some wintering.
Behavior
It always moves close to the ground and rarely comes out of the open. It has a lot of fears. Chirps long in dark shrub forests from spring to summer, but difficult to observe. In winter, they cry with a Chic! Chic! Chic! sound. Builds roughly shaped but detailed nest with straws in the lush forests. The breeding season is from May to June with three to four eggs laid, with incubation period of 12-14 days. They tends to have polygamy relationships.
Characteristic
It is smaller than Korean Bush Warbler and the body color is olive, contrasting with the light brown color of Korean Bush Warbler. Twitter is similar to a whistle, making it difficult to distinguish.
Adult
The back of the head is olive gray, and the eyebrow line is stained white. Forehead has a little tan color. Wings and tails light greenish brown. The throat and the chest is stained white with gray. Lower tail coverts are light buffed color.
Juvenile
The head is olive color and the back and wings are olive brown. The eyebrow line is short. The underside of the body is yellow. The flanks are greenish brown, and the lower tail coverts are slightly darker brown than the adult.
